Time Management

When we think of time management, the first thing which came to our mind is "Very Hard". I know sometimes it gets quite hard to manage your time especially when you had lots of things to do. Time management can prove to be quite challenging process for those who struggle hard and procrastinate a lot. I know for me when I had to do many assignments together because I wait until a last minute to get it done than it gets so hard to complete it on time. But if we will learn how to manage our time wisely, than it will get quite easy to get everything done faster. I believe a person who know how to manage it's time and make a plan of things as when to do what then it gets easy for that person to devote its time to each thing. Some of the tips that I think we should follow to help manage your time so that you can devote specific amount of time to each activity that you want to work on. The first thing which I think we should do is make a plan and try your best to stick to that plan. And the other thing which we need is learn to say no. This is one of the mistake which almost all of us make. Turn off your cell phone and when someone asks you to do something which you do not have time to do, especially when you friends  ask you to go and hangout with them learn to say no to them. And I would say may be try to make a time dairy so that you won't forget anything that you have planned and try to be honest with that schedule which you will make so that you don't mess-up the whole plan that you made for a week.

Pros and cons of study group

In this blog I will talk about the pros and cons of study group. Many students prefer to study in study groups because they think that if they won't understand anything then they can at least ask their group students and can solve that problem. There are many pros and cons of study group. The positive side is that we get help by studding in groups as we can ask each other if we don't understand anything but some people like to study alone and don't feel comfortable in study groups so I think it totally depends on the person whether he find easy to study in study groups or study alone. There is one more con of study group is that when you and your friends get together then there are more chances that instead of working and studying together your mind start to divert and you start doing other fun things with your friends. I believe that when you meet your friends and plan to study together for exam than it gets harder to prepare for exam. So everything that has a positive side than it has downside also. Study groups can prove successful to some students while for others it may not prove that good. So we have to decide whether it is good for us to study in groups or not. Because  if it doesn’t help you to get good grades or study and prepare properly than I don’t think you should follow this technique to study.

Summer School

I think Summer School is a good for students who want to complete their requirements on time and sometimes we couldn't get some classes in fall or spring that we want because it get filled so quickly than we can take it in summer. There is one more good thing about summer school, that the class just take one and a half month and we are done. Students like to take hard classes in summer because It won’t take too much time. In fresh convocation on raffle prize I won free 3 units class in summer, I felt so happy that I can't even tell you because you know how expensive summer classes are, especially for those students who don't get financial aid just like me. I didn't get financial aid because I don't have a permanent residence card so my dad pays my tuition from his pocket. I want to take chemistry in summer and it is a 5 unit class. After registrating for this class when I checked my balance due for summer, it was $1600. Because I can take free 3 unit class than I will have to pay for only 2 extra units. My brother is senior in high school and he will graduate this year and he got admission in CSU Stanislaus. And from this year we'll have to manage to pay his tuition also because he didn't get financial aid for the same reason. But I am happy that we'll both study at same university. He is going to take business major in Stan State.

Registering for classes

Now is the good time to think about which classes we should register for next term. I wasn't sure that which subjects should I take next semester but today I met with my adviser and get my advising done. He advised me and gave me suggestions as which class should I take to get done in 4 years with all the requirements finished. This semester I am taking 18 units and the classes which I feel boring are the anthropology and sociology. But anyway I had to take this class to meet general education requirement so I took it. But for fall semester I am planning to take more of major classes so that to make a balance of both of them. There is one more problem that classes get filled so fast so sometimes it gets hard to get in the class we need. I planned to take chemistry this semester but I couldn’t get it because it filled so fast. So now I am planning to take this class in summer. I have already decided that which class I should take in fall semester. And I just hope that I will get in the class I need and it won’t get filled quickly. I am glad that I have decided my major and completing the requirements according to that. I seriously want to get everything done in 4 years and don’t want to stay here for an extra year. I just hope everything will go smoothly as I have planned.
